Laptops Allowed For Special Kids Appearing For The Central Board Of Secondary Education

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) allows children with special needs to appear for the examination of class 12th and class 10th to carry the laptop inside the exam hall or center.

From class 12th, there are nearly 71,442 students appearing for the examination while class 10th records 1.94 lakh strength of the students appearing for the exam. These figures are from Chennai Region consisting of Telangana. The exam center allows diabetes children appearing for the examination to take foodstuff inside the hall. Teachers will ensure that the laptops conceded by the children with special needs don’t have any access to web or net inside by checking it thoroughly.

After the decision by the Central Government of not implementing the earlier adopted CCE (Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation), the examination of class 10th has been revised for the current year. For the existing batch of class 10th students, the Central Government has given passing marks relaxation.

As per the passing marks relaxation, the students of class 10th are not required to secure separately 33% in the internal assessments and board exams. The board has further decided to consider overall passing percent criteria as 33 percent that includes written exams as well as internal assessments. Teachers commenting on the decision of the board state that passing marks relaxation is very crucial for the students of CBSE as they are not habitual to the board examinations.

An English teacher from the CBSE School, Nishitha K mentions that students from the CBSE board are habitual with the semester exams and are not used to studying the entire syllabus and that the passing marks relaxation will help them get used to the board examinations.

 As per the information provided by the board, there are nearly 28 lakh students appearing for the class 12th and class 10th examinations, out of which 11.86 lakh students will be appearing for class 12th exams in 71 center abroad and 4,138 centers in India. In the same way, 16.38 lakh students will be appearing for the class 10th exams in 78 centers aboard and 4,453 centers in India.
